Instructional Designer, Brain POP
Will Jordan-Cooley is interested in learning games, especially those that facilitate understanding of STEM subjects and complex systemic issues like climate change and politics.
He works as an Instructional Designer for BrainPOP, designing K-12 learning games as well as building a hub for best-of-class third-party titles. He is also working with Dr. Joey Lee, the Eggplant Games Lab, and the POLAR research group on several games that raise awareness of and facilitate behavioral change surrounding climate change and its effect on the Arctic region.
Will holds a B.S. in applied mathematics from the College of William and Mary and has published work in the field of theoretical biology with the Virginia Institute of Marine Science. He is currently studying Instructional Technology and Media at Columbia University Teachers College.
In his free time, Will loves basketball and dreams of playing on all the courts of NYC before his knees inevitably give out (at which point, he will be seeking bionic replacements).
